Thanks for posting the pics on the bragn' board so soon. They look great!!!
The fish, I mean. Speaking for the both of us, we had a great time. We only
wish we could've stayed longer. In total we caught 9 fish, and saw
3 gators! Maybe next time the condition of the lake will be a bit better.

Hi Ron we caught about 10 bass and 2 mudfish. The big was 9 1/2 lbs. It was
a lot of fun. Wish we could have fished the lake but wind and lack of water
stopped us. Thanks for good time.

Ron: Despite the cold water conditions and the low level of the lake, my partner Tom and I still had a good time. We caught four bass the first day, all within the slot limit. On the other three days, we caught a variety of fish including catfish (one very large one that we never got into the boat - probably 10 pounds or more), bowfin, chain pickeral (what you probabaly call gar) and actual alligator gars. We were there to relax as much as catch fish and we were not in the least disappointed. The bass tournament did not help in the catching department - they were all over the place and acted like they owned the lake!

Our guide was great and I would highly recommend him as a guide. Please convey our sincere appreciation for his invaluable assistance in making this a trip to remember. He deserves a raise!

If we come back (which is likely, either in March/April or next year at the same time), we would consider your services again. We were about two weeks early this year before the water had a chance to warm up properly. There is an article in the January Field andStream which you may find interesting about the lake. It basically says that the bass are starving because of the formerly high water levels which killed a lot of the grasses (cover) and anyone who threw a wild shiner in the water was almost guaranteed a lunker. Unfortunately, that was not our experience but we had already decided to make the trip before that article was published anyway.

Thanks for your help in making this a good trip. The people at the motel were very considerate and helpful as well. Perhaps we will meet soon. I'll be sure and send the advance by certified mail next time!

This Special Rate of only $180.00 is for 1 person and includes: 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 6 dozen shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

We require 2 persons on our Special Rate.

Required Deposit for 2 persons is $180.00

Third person 2 half day 1 night rate charge is $100.00 additional and includes 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 room for 3 persons for 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 2 dozen extra shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.
Required Deposit for 3rd. person is $100.00
