Florida Wild Shiner Bass Fishing
Brag'n Board: March 2001The month of March came in like a lamb. Some good catches were made during the warm spell. Okeechobee's bass were preparing to go on the beds to spawn on the March full moon. A cold front which brought our morning temperatures down in the low 40's and one morning it was a very chilly 37 degree moved the bass off the beds and shut down the fishing. The forecast for the rest of this month is expected to be excellent. We should not have any more cold fronts until next winter - I hope... Enjoy viewing hundreds of pictures of Florida bass fishing trophy bass that were caught while fishing on Lake Okeechobee by anglers from across the United States. Our Florida bass fishing trophy bass pictures are also cataloged under each month they were caught during the 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998 calendar years. A Florida bass fishing report on amount of bass caught, area caught and other information is listed with each trophy bass picture. To ensure validity the angler's name, address, phone number and e-mail address is also listed with every Florida bass fishing report.
Check out our Florida Wild Shiner Bass Fishing Special Rate listed below. Lake Okeechobee's low water conditions which has congregated the bass in the deep water areas of the lake, making them easier to catch, is really helping my guide parties land some good size bass. Trophy bass fishing forecast for the March and April spawn under the low water conditions should be the best ever.

Date: Friday, March 30, 2001 2:38 PMHI Ron,
Lil Anthony has talked of nothing else since we have been home. We weren't
able to fish the lake or even to boat on it, but that's Mother Nature and if
she decides to have a drought there's not much anyone can do about it.
Randy was our guide. We could not have asked for a better one. We
also had the privilege of meeting his father. You would do well to always
keep those two on your payroll, they are both fantastic. I can't express to
Randy enough thanks for the absolutely wonderful two days he gave us. When we
venture your way again to drop a line, it would be a privilege to have Randy
or his father to be our guide.
The weather was beautiful. We let Lil Anthony catch the fish. We set
lines out and then let him real them in. I learned how to use a bait casting
reel also. I'm looking forward to picking one up for myself now. Randy still
probably hasn't gotten all the bird nest out yet that I created. 7 fish were
caught the first day , 8 the second day. Lil Anthony finished up the second
day with a 4 pounder followed closely with his trophy 6 1/4 pound bass.
I'll just end this E-Mail by saying that when we were leaving I asked Lil
Anthony "It was a great trip wasn't it"? And he replied, Dad it was a perfect
trip!
Thanks Ron & Randy...Andy & Anthony Lee... Florida Shiner Bass Fishing Brag'n Board

The fishing trip was great. We had an excellent time. Never saw a lake
on fire before. Our guide was fantastic. He really knows how to fish
and find the big ones. He was very helpful and a pleasure to spend time
with. The only disappointment was not being able to get on the big lake.
As I remember, we caught 36 bass and about 10 to 15 others. My son, Dr.
John R. Lewis of Knightdale, N.C. caught an 8 1/4 and 7 1/2 bass. My
biggest was just about 5 lbs. We caught a lot of fish between 3 and 5
lbs. We have some pictures if you need them, but will have to mail them
as I don't have a scanner. If you can E-Mail the pictures and the
article, I would appreciate it.Thank You
