December 30 & 31, 2001
Florida shiner bass fishing
anglers Jeff and Pattee Bender and their son (Kentwood, MI -
e-mal: pbender@uniformcolor.com) caught and released 8 bass up to
6 lbs,
1 channel catfish and a pickerel during during 2 half days of
wild shiner bass fishing on December 30 & 31, 2001 with Captain
Ron. Jeff caught the 6 lb'er. We fished the North Shore and Monkey
Box areas of Lake Okeechobee.
Florida shiner bass fishing anglers
John King (Venice, FL - ph: 941-483-3031) and Mike D'Amico (Springboro,
OH - ph: 937748-4905 - e-mal: damico62@msn.com) caught only 2
bass that weighed in at 7 1/4 lbs (left) and 7 lbs (right) during
a morning of wild shiner bass fishing on December 21, 2001 with
Captain Ron. The fishing was poor due to a cold front that hit
Florida. Mike caught both trophy size bass which he released.
We fished the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

anglers Jason Bayes (Lakeland, FL - ph: 863-646-1490 - e-mail:
bayes1@mindspring.com) and father-in-law Joe Quattrocki (Clearwater,
FL - ph: 727-536-0675) caught 2 catfish, 1 pickeral and 5 bass
that included a 6 1/4 lb'er that Jason landed during 2 half days
of wild shiner bass fishing on December 13 & 14, 2001 with
Captain Ron. Fishing was poor due to cold front and windy conditions.
We fished the North Shore and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee.
All bass were released.
